Marker Seven helps SFOpen Homes improve User Experience and Visual Design

Marker Seven, an award-winning boutique interactive agency, announced that its redesign of the SFOpenHomes Website now makes it easier for homebuyers and agents to find all available property listings in the San Francisco area. SFOpenHomes is an online property listing and open homes Website of the San Francisco
Association of REALTORS®  (SFAR).

“Thousands of homebuyers and agents visit SFOpenHomes to find new listings,” said Matthew Borland, SFAR board member. “We needed the site to be extremely user friendly to facilitate the buying and selling of properties in the San Francisco area. We selected Marker Seven for the project because of its competency in user experience as well as its design and development expertise. We are very pleased with the results.”

In addition to creating an attractive new visual design, Marker Seven employed Interactive User Experience ‘best practices’ so that real estate agents and homebuyers alike can easily find upcoming open homes and property listings on the site. Built on Drupal, an open source content management system (CMS), the site features a custom data layer that enables reliable and up-to-date property and open homes listings and allows SFAR to create custom listings outside its Multiple Listing Service (MLS).

“We worked closely with SFAR to meet its very stringent requirements for a site that is visually appealing and engaging in its simplicity yet very complex in its data management capabilities,” said John Clauss, Marker Seven president. “This project is another example of our ability to serve the exacting needs of organizations to address their unique marketplace objectives.”
