The Marker Seven Website received the 2010 "Best in Class" award from The Interactive Media Awards™ (IMA) in the Web Design and Development category. The Interactive Media Awards™ competition is open to individuals and organizations involved in designing, developing, managing, supporting and promoting websites. In this category there were 131 entries submitted from all over the world and the judges include prestigious industry experts from Microsoft, Time Inc., New Line Cinema and Verizon Business.

“Our Website showcases our approach, as well as our technical capabilities, to help companies convey their brand online,” said John Clauss. “It’s very gratifying that a prestigious organization such as the IMA has recognized and acknowledged our creative talent and expertise.”

Marker Seven received the 2010 Outstanding Achievement award from The Interactive Media Awards™ (IMA) in the Enterainment Category for its work on a new website for CIS VFX Group, a leading visual effects company with many box office hits to its credit, including Angels and Demons, The Changeling, G.I. Joe and Inglorious Basterds. The Outstanding Achievement Award is the second highest honor bestowed by the IMA. It represents excellence and accomplishment in design, content, feature functionality, usability and standards compliance and cross-browser capability.

The Public Education Network honored the newly redesigned San Francisco Education Fund Website with a National Award for its role in exploiting technology to strengthen the relationship between students, teachers and the community. The new site built by Marker Seven demonstrated when a Website employs a high degree of creativity and imagination; it can build a strong online community to enhance learning.

W3 Award: Silver Award for Greenbiz

In 2008, the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA) presented Marker Seven with a W3 Silver Award for its redesign of the Greenbiz.com site. The W3 award is given in recognition of ‘the power of Web creativity.” In selecting Marker Seven, The IAVA cited the firms’ innovative use of Drupal, user-centric approach to the site’s information architecture and clean design.

Interactive Media Award: Ghirardelli Chocolate

The Interactive Media Awards™ (IMA) honored Marker Seven in 2007 for Outstanding Achievement in the design and development of the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company Website. The IMA Award acknowledges the excellence of online content, design and development. The IMA cited Marker Seven for excellence of the Ghirardelli site, including high standards in planning, execution and overall professionalism.
 

International Davey Award: Blue Shield of California Latino Microsite

Marker Seven was a Gold Winner in the International Davey Award 2008 competition for its work with the Blue Shield of California Latino Microsite. The Davey Awards honor the creative excellence of smaller agencies and companies worldwide. Marker Seven earned honors for its development and design of the Spanish-language Blue Shield site to help subscribers find a doctor in Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino California counties.

Interactive Media Award: American Conservatory Theater Website

The Communicator Awards honored Marker Seven with an Award of Excellence in the 15th Annual Communicator Awards for its work managing the organization and design of San Francisco’s prestigious American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Website.

The Communicator Awards recognize creative excellence for communications professionals around the world. The program received over 7000 entries from ad agencies, interactive agencies, production firms, in-house creative professionals, graphic designers, design firms, and public relations firms.

The Interactive Media Awards™ (IMA) honored Marker Seven with the prestigious “Best in Class” Interactive Media Award (IMA) in the Public Relations Category for the Text 100 Website, a leading global public relations firm. The IMA selected Marker Seven for the top award from the 19 entries submitted in the Public Relations category.
 
The Best in Class Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Interactive Media Awards. It represents the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism. IMA judges evaluate Website entries based on design, content, feature functionality, usability and standards compliance. In order to earn the Best in Class Award level, a site has to excel in each of these areas, which is an achievement only a fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each year.
