As a result, Santa Clara is one of only a few counties in California that will offer dynamically generated maps accessible through a Web interface. The GIS solution gives builders and land owners the ability to generate maps of their properties online. Each dynamically generated map is complete with various planning related information. This allows property owners, contractors and builders, the ability to view zoning restrictions for a particular parcel of land. What used to take weeks through a lengthy paper-based system can now be done in minutes.
