Marker Seven, a leading provider of Web-based creative and technology solutions, today announced a new client, PRN — the media network that reaches and engages consumers while they are shopping in the world’s largest retailers. PRN chose Marker Seven to deploy a Web site and to develop a Content Management System (CMS) for Your Channel, the PRN network that enables retailers and advertisers to deliver targeted messages to a captive audience at grocery checkout lines.
Yourchannelty.com is a Web site targeted for consumers with a sweepstakes running with an application form, trivia questions, and a validation check against a list of retailers. The most powerful feature is the database-drive content management system that Marker Seven developed for Your Channel. The CMS allows PRN to add, edit and delete sweepstakes, and set related trivia questions to change regularly. The system automatically displays active sweepstakes. If there aren’t any active sweepstakes, the system displays recipe content on the home page. This gives PRN the flexibility to start and stop promotions at will, without requiring programming.
“This system is the ideal solution for PRN,” said Bonnie Bright, Manager of Advertising Marketing at PRN. “By allowing us to easily and quickly update information in sections such as Easy Recipes and Tips and Hints on our own, we can keep the site interesting and appealing to the consumer."
Working under severe time constraints, Marker Seven launched Your Channel’s Web site in time to meet their first sweepstakes (April 4 - April 17, 2005). “We are pleased that PRN chose Marker Seven as their Web site technology partner. They relied on us to implement their Web site and develop an application that would help them in the future,” said John Clauss, CEO of Marker Seven. “We accomplished this — complete with a content management system that allows PRN to change, update and publish content on their own.”
Phase I of www.yourchannelty.com is complete. Marker Seven is currently developing several significant features and enhancements for Phase II. These features include a search engine for recipes and tips, a ‘tell a friend’ and ‘submit your ideas’ form, and a randomly rotating sponsor logo on the home page. These updates will be completed by May 2005.
