Marker Seven, an award-winning boutique interactive agency, has added the Bpeace Rwanda Beauty School Project as a new Pro Bono agency client. The new Beauty School Project provides intensive training to Rwandan women to enable them to become skilled professionals who can create businesses that boost employment, and in turn build a peaceful future for their communities. Bpeace is a non-profit international volunteer network of business professionals that help women entrepreneurs in post-conflict countries to expand their businesses.

“Volunteerism is one of our key corporate tenets and we try to help nonprofit organizations through our creative and development Web service,” said Patrick Ford, Marker Seven principal. “As entrepreneurs ourselves, we were particularly drawn to the work of Bpeace to help women further themselves and their communities through successful business ventures.”

Marker Seven is providing the visual design and development of the new Rwanda Beauty School. By implementing the site in Drupal, an open source content management system that provides, flexibility, extensibility, ease of use and sharing capabilities, Marker Seven will enable the Bpeace internal team to manage site updates.
