Marker Seven Honored with W3 Award for Real Estate Website

Marker Seven, an award-winning digital agency, announces it is the recipient of a 2010 W3 Silver Award for the redesign of SFOpenhomes.com, an online property listing and open homes Website of the San Francisco Association of REALTORS® (SFAR). The W³ Awards honors creative excellence on the Web. This year, over 3,000 worldwide entries competed for awards.

“The SFAR had stringent requirements for a new site that was both appealing in its simplicity yet very sophisticated in its data management capabilities, said John Clauss, Marker Seven president.  “We took great professional satisfaction in meeting our client’s exacting design and development objectives and so are very proud to be acknowledged by the industry for our achievements.”

In addition to creating an attractive new visual design, Marker Seven employed Interactive User Experience ‘best practices’ so that real estate agents and homebuyers alike can easily find upcoming open homes and property listings on the site. Built on Drupal, an open source content management system (CMS), the site features a custom data layer that enables reliable and up-to-date property and open homes listings and allows SFAR to create custom listings outside its Multiple Listing Service (MLS).
