Each year Marker Seven selects a local non-profit to support by lending our website development and design skills. This year we helped the Feather River Land Trust reinvigorate their online presence and develop an online communications strategy.

This Feather River Land Trust is a private, non-profit organization founded by residents of the Feather River region. By recruiting support of local landowners, ranchers, farmers and communities, the organization seeks “To conserve land in the Feather River region and steward its ecological and cultural values for current and future generations.”

The primary goal of the redesign was to get viewers excited about FLRT's mission and get them engaged in helping to preserve the Feather River region. Since we had stunning professional-quality photography of the land and wildlife to work with, we took a design approach that was photo-centric and combined it with a visual aesthetic that was rustic and outdoorsy. The result is a site that accurately conveys the natural environment of the Feather River area, and is friendly and approachable. It also reflects FLRT's down to earth, grass-roots approach to preserving one of California's most beautiful landscapes.

We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Feather River Land Trust’s team to make this site possible. Stop by www.frlt.org to see the finished product!
