Continental Resources Wins Best In Class IMA Award for Website

"Continental Resources was the type of client interactive agencies dream about," said Scott Abbott, creative director at Marker Seven. "The oil exploration vertical market had not truly embraced the Web, and Continental wanted to break the mold. It was a prime opportunity to be a leader and blow away the competition.

"Our in-depth discovery process helped us understand the client was extremely technology focused, yet cared immensely about the environment and communities it operates in. We were able to express all of those facets in the site via a variety of content and features, not the least of which was fantastic custom imagery we chose to use as the visual centerpiece of the site."

The Best in Class award is the highest honor bestowed by the Interactive Media Awards. It represents the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism. The website is judged on the criteria of design, content, feature functionality, usability, and standards compliance and cross-browser compatibility.

“When your company is the leading producer in the United States’leading on-shore oil field, general industry best-practices aren’t good enough,” said Brian Engel, Community Affairs Manager with Continental Resources. “That’s why we partnered with Marker Seven to rebuild our corporate website. We needed to go beyond raising the bar and create a digital corporate gateway that would tell our unique story and be dramatic, informative and easy to navigate. We are deeply honored by the recognition bestowed by the Interactive Media Awards and proud of the site we created with Marker Seven.”

Marker Seven is celebrating this exciting news, and benchmarking its achievement to continue creating high caliber websites for the future.
